Yetemar-Kenyell Cross, working under the artistic name Mr. Cross, is a Midwestern American writer, music producer, songwriter, and film director. Cross was raised in the West Pullman neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. During his youth, Cross was under the tremendous musical influence of his mother's primary love of Gospel and his father's enjoyment of 70's funk and 80's soul/R&B artists. From the trials of a dysfunctional household and the dangers of the South Side streets that he grew up on, Cross turned further into writing and music as a necessary escape.
With the encouragement and praises of his creativity from peers, Cross became more serious about his talents into adulthood. Cross currently lives in Kokomo, Indiana and continues to passionately savor the joys of writing in addition to music and film production. He also enjoys photography, traveling, architecture, and history, as well as his growing collection of single malt scotches, bourbons, and wine. Since childhood, he loves trains, and is also a self-proclaimed "hardcore foodie".
